New medical clinic to open next year in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue

Ste-Anne incumbent mayor Paola Hawa says new medical complex will help meet the needs of West Island seniors and the area’s growing population.

A new medical complex is scheduled to open next summer in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.

The medical clinic will be located on Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, next to Ste-Anne’s Hospital.

The clinic will feature a Family Medicine Group (FMG), a pharmacist, medical specialists, specialized nurse practitioners, clinical nurses, and social workers, according to the city of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.

The medical complex announcement follows the sale by the city of land adjacent to the hospital to a group of doctors for about $1.9 million. A new seniors village is also planned for the area by 2027.

“The addition of a new medical clinic in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue is not only part of the development of the land adjacent to Ste. Anne’s Hospital, but also for the enhancement of the healthcare offer to the population,” said Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue incumbent mayor Paola Hawa. “We know that the territory of the West Island of Montreal will experience by 2033 a significant increase in its population, and more particularly in its elder population. That is why we are continuing our efforts to ensure the coherent and carefully thought-out development of our city.”

The city said work on the 40,000 square-foot medical complex is scheduled to begin within weeks. The opening is planned for next June.

In addition to the medical clinic, the complex will also house other health services, including physiotherapy, audiology and a pharmacy.
